How Can I Get Removed From The CIP?

How to escape the CIP

Leaving the CIP is easier than it seems! In this document, we would like to offer some guidance in order for you to improve and correct your submission and successfully leave the CIP. Please remember that if you need assistance finding what needs to be fixed or assistance with explaining how to make requested edits, make a post in the CIP Sub-Forum. You can ping the user who voted on your submission by writing: [u=username]. Calling the voter into the conversation may help clarify where your submissions need changes. Alternatively, you can also message the user directly (if they allow direct messages).

In order to leave the CIP, you will need to receive enough correct votes on your pending submissions to raise your voting average: There is no need to worry if you have a large number of pending submissions. Please know that it is not necessary to receive votes on every pending submission in order to leave the CIP.

How can I find out what I need to work on?

- Go to the page of your pending submissions. You can access it here. From here, click through the list in the column on the left side of the page. Any submission here that has votes or comments left by other contributors will need to be reviewed and edited where necessary.

- In order to see which submissions need votes, you can also have a look at your profile page, selecting the tab "Contributed". Here, you will find an overview of all submissions including a colored bar in front of them. The color of the bar gives more information on the voting status of an item:

-- Yellow means the submission has not yet been voted on.
-- Red means the submission has been voted on and needs changes.
-- No Color means the submission has been voted completely correct - all information in the submission is correct.
-- Grey means that a submission which has been voted completely correct has been edited afterwards.

Make sure to use this overview to quickly find submissions that need corrections and / or votes.

- You can also use Advanced Search to find your contributions that needs changes directly. Enter your username under “Submitter”, press the “Needs changes” checkbox and then search. This will highlight any of your submissions that need changes.

Once you have identified the submissions that need to be corrected, go ahead and perform the edits as needed.

I think I am done. How can I get some votes on my submissions now?

As with any submission, please double check for correctness and accuracy before submitting. Once that is done, you will need to receive votes on these corrected submissions. You may wish to consider making a post in one of these places:

- Non-English groups - if you need assistance in a language other than English;
- The forum thread for requesting votes on submissions; If you don’t receive the responses you need, call the voter to the conversation by pinging them into the conversation. This can be done by writing: [u=theirusername]

- Failing all else, support may be able to assist directly. If the above does not help, please create a support request mentioning this message.

When enough votes have been received, your account will automatically be reviewed by our system and removed from the CIP. This may take a day or two depending on system load.
