The Wantlist feature allows you to keep track of the releases you don't have yet but would like to own. This help document covers how to add to your Wantlist using the Discogs website. If you are using one of our mobile apps, please be sure to review our separate documentation.
Add A Release
Adding releases to your Wantlist is similar to adding items to your collection. First you need to find your desired release by using the search box. You can also browse an artist or label page to find the release you are looking for.
Next, open the release page. On the right-hand side, click the ‘Add To Wantlist’ button:
You’ll see a red box appear telling you that the release is now in your Wantlist:
To see your Wantlist, click on the drop-down menu next to your profile picture at the top-right corner of the screen and select 'Wantlist'.
To be notified of when an item in your Wantlist comes up for sale, tick one or both of the boxes on your settings / notification preferences page for "when an item in my Wantlist is for sale". Please know that Discogs inbox notifications and email notifications regarding your Wantlist work slightly different:
Discogs inbox: You will receive one message per day, including all the newly listed items from your Wantlist.
Email notifications: This email includes rare finds and good offers for you, depending on your location and settings.

You can also see items in your Wantlist that are currently being sold on Discogs:
- By selecting "Buy Music", then "Items I Want"
- By clicking on the Show Items in Marketplace button on the Wantlist page
Remove A Release
To remove an item from your Wantlist, click the 'remove' link in the red box on the release page, or go to your Wantlist and tick the item you want to remove, then select the 'Remove Items' button at the bottom of the page.
Export Your Wantlist
If you want to export your Wantlist, you can use the Export My Wantlist button on the Wantlist page:
This option allows you to export your entire Wantlist as a .csv file. When you select Export My Wantlist, you will be redirected to the Export page:
Select Wantlist from the dropdown menu and select Request Data Export. A green banner will appear confirming that your export request was scheduled. You will be notified when the file is available.
Share Your Wantlist
You can share your Wantlist with the other users. To do so, the Wantlist needs to be public. Go to your Privacy settings and check that the option “Allow others to browse my wantlist” is enabled:
