Privacy and Data Protection FAQ

Your privacy and the protection of Your data is important to Zink Media, LLC (d/b/a Discogs) and our affiliates (collectively, “We”, “Our”, “Us” or “Discogs”) and this FAQ provides a summary of Our privacy and data protection program related to Our websites, applications, API and other services as may be developed (collectively, Our “Service”).  We strive to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), as well as various other local privacy laws, regulations and schemes worldwide. Our processes are developed and maintained with privacy by design in mind. We are a “controller” of data, as defined by the GDPR, which equates to being the owner of the data We collect and use under various laws and regulations. We also work with certain “processors” or “service providers” in delivering Our Service to users (see Our Processors List).

We recommend that You review Our Privacy Policy for more detailed information about Our practices and how We use Your personal data.  Additional information about California Privacy Rights Act compliance can be found in Our California Privacy Notice and the “California Disclosures” section of Our Privacy Policy. Additional information about other U.S. states compliance can be found in the "Additional U.S. State Law Disclosures" section of Our Privacy Policy.

  • Fairly (we only request the minimum amount of information that is needed to provide you with Our Service)
  • Transparently (our Privacy Policy is comprehensive and all data is maintained in a secure manner, consistent with industry best practices)

Certain Technologies are required for Our Service to display on Your devices.  Additional types of Technologies allow Us to serve tailored settings (e.g., language selection) or analyze how users use Our Service. We also display ads on some parts of Our Service, which requires Technologies in certain cases.  We work with other entities that provide services to Us to support Our Service that place their own Technologies through Our Service. Information about other entities can be found on Our Processors List.  The collection and use of information by these companies is governed by their privacy policies and is not covered by Our Privacy Policy or practices.
